@givingthetalk is run by Julia Feldman, an Oakland based sex educator with over 12 years of experience in formal education. Her work is a reflection of her core belief that sexuality is an important and dramatically misunderstood aspect of our identities. At giving the talk, she provides a new narrative - one in which sexuality is a normal and healthy part of identity, where pleasure is central and prioritized and where consent and communication are expected and modeled. She believes in a world where access to information guides healthy decision-making, a world where stigma and shame are absent and a world where curiosity and learning is continuous.
